The Tommelehof has been in the family since 1924, when it was acquired by Maria Ladurner (born Mittersteiner). At that time, the farm was used for fruit and livestock farming. Over the years it has been rebuilt several times and opened up to tourism with the construction of rooms and later vacation apartments. Today, the farm is used exclusively for fruit farming in addition to renting out vacation apartments.
Until fall 2023, the Tommelehof was run by Franz Ladurner and his wife Christl Ladurner. In November 2023, management was handed over to the family's youngest son, Martin Ladurner.
Martin, who has a degree in "Agricultural Sciences and Environmental Management" from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, takes care of fruit growing, apple harvesting and everything else that arises around the farm.
His girlfriend Marion Hofer, who has a degree in "Educational Science for Primary Schools", is responsible for the reservations and bookings of the vacation apartments, ensures that the farm is tidy and clean and is always concerned about the well-being of the guests.
Together they are also parents to little Luna, who was born in December 2023.
Of course, Franz and Christl are still involved in farm life and support the couple where necessary.
Matthias, the eldest son of the family, currently lives and works in Brixen, but is still closely connected to the family and interested in what is happening on the farm.
